A few hours after Ruben Amorim signed with Manchester United, rumours swirled about which players without Ten Hag were done at United. The same goes for which Sporting players follow the successful coach on his journey to Old Trafford. Now it turns out that Amorim has been given a clear mission for the rest of the season: Exploit the potential of players who have been dormant under Ten Hag.
The Telegraph reports that Amorim’s transfer budget will not be anywhere near Ten Hag’s, the next few months will focus on waking up United players who still have yet to deliver as expected. This is especially true of two players, who were signed for a total of £127 million in the summer of 2023.

When Ruben Amorim went for his first round at Manchester United’s training centre, the Portuguese was pictured with Mason Mount, where they laughingly threw themselves into a real hug. Mount’s relief shone from the picture, with a 3-4-3 formation and a type of player Amorim likes, the former Chelsea player should finally get a place in midfield.
The English media claim Mount is one of the players Amorim has been tasked by United management to bring out his potential. The other is a Danish striker who has gone into a scoring spree on the Danish national team with 12 hours on the pitch without scoring, at United the 21-year-old has delivered in periods, but not close to being able to defend the investment of £72 million.
