Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis may miss Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Golden State Warriors due to a head injury he sustained in the fourth quarter Wednesday night at the Chase Center.

Davis did not return to the game in Game 5 after Warriors player Kevon Looney elbowed him in the head. Davis sat on the bench for several minutes and never let go of his head. Soon after, he was taken to the dressing room and ruled out. He was taken out of the arena in a wheelchair due to a concussion.

Even a mild concussion can take up to a week to heal, so Davis is in danger of missing not only Game 6, but a potential Game 7 as well. Dangerous play was not considered a foul, and Looney received no penalty for a blatant elbow to Davis’ head. This is another foul play by this player. He elbowed Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis in the first round and gave him a black eye, but was also not penalized.
