On the other side of the pitch, it was a shock-damaged Tunisia. It’s not the hook on the door with one tap, but when you lose so emphatically with five backwards, then the warning lights flash. For Sabri Lamouchi, the World Cup experience could be a record short.
The 54-year-old has been Tunisia’s national team coach since January. Early Monday morning Norwegian time, Tunisia had a particularly difficult start to the World Cup finals. The 1-5 loss to Sweden comes in the wake of a weak run-up to the World Cup, where the last test match ended in a 0-5 loss to Belgium.

According to the media Radio Mosaïque, the pressure on Lamouchi is so great, that the Tunisian Football Association is considering firing him. An emergency meeting is said to have been held after the loss to Sweden, where the possible dismissal was one of the topics.

Wahbi Khazri (former Sunderland player), chief analyst for the Tunisian national team, is a potential interim coach for the remainder of the World Cup finals, if Lamouchi is sacked, it is reported.
According to journalist Romain Molina, who writes for the BBC, the decision has been made. Lamouchi has been fired.
Now Japan and the Netherlands await.
