2022 was a good year for Stabæk, who both moved up to the Eliteserien after being relegated to the OBOS-League the year before, and they brought in a lot of money for Gift Orban.

The Nigerian striker banged in 16 goals in 22 games for Stabæk before he was sold to Gent for 4.6 million euros in January 2023. Unfortunately for Stabæk, they did not manage to stay in the Eliteseien, in a few weeks they will start their second season at the second highest level.

The Belgian club made a huge profit and sold Gift Orban on to the French big club Olympique Lyon for 14 million euros.

Nigerian striker Gift Orban is leaving Lyon and has signed for Hoffenheim in a deal worth €9 million plus bonuses.

Hoffenheim are not in a good season and are struggling down to 15th place in the Bundesliga. The club hired Christian Ilzer as the new manager on November 15 without any positive effect. – Already now, after only seven games, there is talk of dismissing the Austrian manager.
