Jamaican winger Demarai Gray opted for desert football after being tempted to make the transfer of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard in the summer of 2023. Al-Ettifaq paid Everton close to 10 million euros and then Gray a four-year contract.

So far, the 28-year-old has scored four goals and assisted five in 32 games with the Saudi club. Already this winter, a return to the Premier League is on the cards.

Sky Sports reports that Demarai Gray has told Steven Gerrard that he wants to return to the Premier League in the January window.

In addition to Everton and Al-Ettifaq, Demarai Gray has played for Leicester, Birmingham and Bayer Leverkusen.
