When Sevilla play Manchester United in the Europa League quarter-finals, they will be without coach Jorge Sampaoli.
The announcement of the firing was more or less expected and did not come as a real surprise. The Argentine Sampaoli has been under pressure recently.

Sevilla are placed in 13th place in La Liga with their 28 points from 26 games. They have six teams behind them, but only have two points down on the team that is placed second last, Almeria.

“Willing to pay too much”

  • The club has terminated the contract after the loss to Getafe. We are once again placed just above the relegation zone, says a comment on the club’s website.

The quarter-final matches against Manchester United will be played on 13 and 20 April.
