Newly-appointed manager Enzo Maresca wants to rebuild the Manchester City squad ahead of the upcoming season – and the club is ready to spend €250 million on three new stars.
Manchester City have already secured Elliot Anderson, but Italian Maresca have formally asked for three more world-class players – a total investment of €250 million. The need to expand the squad is part of an internal restructuring that also involves about ten sales during the summer window.

According to The Athletic, Maresca considers it crucial to reinforce three key positions to ensure competitiveness in the Premier League. The club has already initiated phone calls to expedite the paperwork.
At the same time, the City management has decided to ensure the continuity of three of its stars – Joško Gvardiol, Phil Foden and Jérémy Doku.
Three priorities – according to Maresca
1. Right-back: Maresca wants Chelsea’s Malo Gusto. City are willing to pay €70 million, but have a cheaper option in Feyenoord’s 20-year-old Givairo Read.
2. Midfield: The main target is Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi – 18-year-old French-Moroccan. City are preparing a bid of €80 million, boosted by Sandro Tonali being confirmed at Tottenham.
3. Attack: Ivanori Yan Diomande is the big target. City are ready to put €120 million on the table – and are trying to break a verbal agreement Diomande already has with PSG.
A new era in Manchester
The City management believes in the money power of the Premier League and Maresca’s project to convince Diomande. The next few weeks will be crucial – and no financial means will be spared to secure the signings.
The strategy is clear: City will build a new era of success in European football.
