There has been concern at Manchester United – the big club is now considering withdrawing from the purchase of Ederson, according to the Daily Mail.
Manchester United and Atalanta had agreed on a transfer for the 27-year-old as early as the beginning of June. But now there are some big rocks in the sea.

Shortly after the agreement, the midfielder was named in Brazil’s World Cup squad – which postponed the transfer. The plan was changed to complete the case in July instead. Meanwhile, United management underwent an initial medical test in the United States.
The result seems to have complicated the matter considerably.
The Daily Mail writes that Manchester United have started to doubt whether they will complete the purchase. According to the newspaper, something in the first medical tests caused concern at the Premier League giant.
Exactly what emerged in the investigations is not clear from the Daily Mail’s report. Now United are faced with a difficult choice: should they complete the deal – or withdraw at the last minute?
If the deal goes through, Ederson will cost United €40.5 million (just over NOK 445 million) in base money – plus €4.5 million in potential bonuses, according to The Athletic.
In the meantime, the 27-year-old has a waiting period. United have already completed the signing of another midfielder and compatriot – Andrey Santos from Chelsea – for a price tag of £50 million, including bonuses.
