Manchester United have been told that they can complete a deal with West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville, and more details are now starting to emerge via journalist Shaun Irvine.

United’s main focus in this summer’s transfer window has been to strengthen their midfield ahead of their return to the Champions League next season. After all, it was in the middle of the pitch that the team was most in need of renewal.

Casemiro is leaving the club, and Manuel Ugarte is also expected to leave after a disappointing two-year spell at Old Trafford. Thus, Kobbie Mainoo is left as one of the few pure central midfielders with a senior life in the squad.

Captain Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount can play there if needed, but both are far better suited to operate further up front, in the role of number 10.

United have already strengthened their midfield with one signing, namely Atalanta player Ederson. He will join Old Trafford when he finishes his World Cup assignment for Brazil in 2026.

The Red Devils were now also chasing West Ham star Mateus Fernandes, as they are looking to bring in a new piece in the machinery. Some reports have even suggested that the club could sign a third midfielder in the summer.

But United are also looking at other parts of the pitch – including in the attacking line.

Summerville’s agent gives green light to United

Sources in GIVEMESPORT have revealed throughout the summer that United are on the hunt for a left winger. A transfer is likely to be further intensified if Marcus Rashford were to leave Old Trafford during the transfer window.

The Red Devils have been linked with several big names in recent weeks, such as Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. Rogers in particular is reportedly highly rated by both Michael Carrick and director of football Jason Wilcox.

Now, however, a new name has emerged – none other than Summerville, Mateus Fernandes’ teammate at West Ham.

Just like Fernandes, the Dutch international is said to have no interest in playing in the Championship after West Ham’s relegation. According to sources, Summerville is said to be valued at around £50 million by the east London club.

And now comes the crucial news: According to Irvine, who shares the information on X, Summerville’s agent has given United the go-ahead to make the transfer. Personal terms should not be an obstacle, and everything is in place for the Dutchman to be the next big signing at Old Trafford.
