First at Hoffenheim, then Bayern Munich from 2017, then archrival Borussia Dortmund’s from 2022. After the end of the season, the 30-year-old retired as a professional player, now the German reports a sensational choice of way forward.
In April, the centre-back picked up a knee injury. It was not torn ligaments, but the centre-back took it as a signal that he was going to quit. This was in May. In July, the 30-year-old says that it will still be football, but at a completely different level and demands on physical fitness.

Because Süle confirms that football life will continue at SV Tiefenbach, who play in Kreisliga A3, i.e. level 9 of the German league system.
“I’m really looking forward to experiencing football again from a completely different perspective, where it’s about the game itself and not about business or money,” says Süle, who is also looking forward to focusing on the social aspect of amateur football. Two of my best friends play for SV Tiefenbach, and one is even a coach,” Süle told German Sky Sports.
“After 13 years in professional football, it is a huge gift to share the pitch with my teammates again and just enjoy this fantastic sport to the fullest,” says the German.
