We knew it was cool between Ruben Amorim and Marcus Rashford. Sunday’s “I’d rather put the goalkeeper coach on the pitch than put on a player who doesn’t give it his all”, in response to why Rashford isn’t playing, showed that we are at a whole new low level. This is frighteningly similar to Erik Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho’s feud that was reminiscent of kindergarten behavior from both parties.

Now The Guardian reports Amorim and Rashford are no longer on speaking terms.

That brings us back to the Ten Hag/Sancho episode, which didn’t resolve until the player was removed from the United manager’s view.

Six days before the transfer window closes, Marcus Rashford still doesn’t have his next destination ready. Several clubs have been linked with the 27-year-old, but the gigantic salary and Manchester United’s aversion to covering the lion’s share of this for the club that hires Rashford, makes it all a very demanding transition.

If the English media’s information that Amorim and Rashford no longer have individual talks is correct, this could be very costly for Manchester United if Rashford does not free up space in the salary budget for a replacement.

The bill of around £300,000 a week until the summer to have a player who doesn’t talk to the coach, this is an unsustainable solution.
