Thomas Frank was declared a genius as Brentford manager, entered the scene as Tottenham manager last summer with a confident “I’ve never been sacked before”, and then made history at the London club himself as early as February 2026. Frank has been linked to several coaching jobs without it ending with anything concrete, currently he is enjoying himself at the BBC as an expert commentator during the World Cup. When asked by the BBC if he would like to lead the Danish national team, the answer came quickly: “I definitely think that one day it would be appealing to me.

Thomas Frank wants to lead the Danish national team – it’s all about timing

“When it will be, you never know with timing and all that. I think that my first priority at some point will be to take a club team again, but I always like the European Championships and the World Cup very much,” the Dane continues to BBC Radio 5.

Although Thomas Frank has many opportunities after his time in the Premier League, the message is clear from the Danish coach.

One job will be the biggest.

“Of course, I come from Denmark, so it would probably be the highest priority to become national team coach for Denmark, if there was a national team. But I’m open. I’m an open man, so let’s see what happens,” says Thomas Frank.
