Florentino Pérez and the management of Concha Espina want to put the finishing touches on José Mourinho’s squad – and create one of the most impressive and costly attacks in the history of world football.

Real Madrid have already confirmed the signings of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, Marc Cucurella and Denzel Dumfries. But they are not finished. After Atlético Madrid rejected a €150 million bid for Julián Álvarez, Real Madrid have instead set their sights on the 25-year-old from Bayern.

Bayern demand over 160 million euros +++

The negotiations with Bayern will require unprecedented financial efforts. The Germans have repeatedly said that Olise is a crucial piece – and that they will not consider bids below 160 million euros. Florentino Pérez’s strategy is therefore to make a firm bid of €180 million, with an additional €33 million in performance bonuses.

If the transfer is completed at these sums, Olise will be the second most expensive transfer in history – behind only Neymar’s move to PSG.

Real Madrid sell three players to fund transfer

To absorb the budget consequences, Real Madrid have also put three players on the sale list: Álvaro Carreras, Dean Huijsen and Eduardo Camavinga. The sale of these three is expected to bring in around €120 million – the liquidity needed to attack Bayern.

In the next few days, the phones will go hot between Spain and Germany. Real Madrid hope that Olise’s desire to play alongside Mbappé in Madrid will be the deciding factor. No financial means will be spared to secure the signature of Michael Olise – and establish a new dynasty in European football.
