West Ham players and coach Nuno Santo did the job on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Leeds, but it came too late. Tottenham saved Premier League survival at the expense of West Ham with their 1-0 win over Everton in the last game. Everton manager David Moyes, with a long career at West Ham, promised to do everything to save his former club, but it was not enough. Now there are reports of a big sale of players at the Hammers.

Wage costs will be greatly reduced and players will be sold. According to The Telegraph , the club will have to sell for around £150 million to balance the loss from the relegation. This means that captain Jarrod Bowen, Mateus Fernandes, Crysencio Summerville and Tomas Soucek will be put on the market, it is reported.

And Nuno Santo, who took over in September to clean up after Graham Potter, has a clause in his contract that he can be dismissed without compensation after relegation. A meeting on Monday will decide the coach’s future.
