Inter Milan have reportedly held fresh talks with Liverpool about a possible transfer for midfielder Curtis Jones.
The Liverpool product was linked with a move to Inter already in the January window, but the Reds were reluctant to let him go in the middle of the season. Now that the season is over, Jones’ future at Liverpool seems to be the subject of much speculation – especially since Inter are still interested.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A champions have already held talks with Liverpool about a potential summer deal.
Ausilio met Hughes in Monte Carlo
The report claims that Inter’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, recently met his Liverpool colleague Richard Hughes in Monte Carlo. Jones is said to have been one of the main topics during the meeting, although it ended without any agreement on a transfer.
The idea is that the two clubs will continue negotiations in new talks, as Inter want to bring Jones to Christian Chivu’s team before the 2026/27 season.
“Jones has considerable experience”
Inter value Jones’ considerable experience. He has already played 228 club games and six international matches, despite being only 25 years old.
Jones’ age also means that a signing would be seen as an investment – Inter could envisage making money from him in the future.
Uncertain future at Anfield
The midfielder played 49 games during the 2025/26 season, but failed to establish himself as a guaranteed starter in Arne Slot’s team. With Liverpool expected to strengthen their squad this summer, Jones will likely have doubts about how many starting opportunities he will get if he stays at Anfield.
The player’s contract situation only adds to the uncertainty. His current deal expires at the end of next season.
Liverpool demand £35 million
According to The Times, Liverpool will demand £35 million to consider a sale in the summer transfer window. From the player’s perspective, Jones is believed to be open to the possibility of swapping Anfield for the San Siro.
