It looked like Roberto de Zerbi was going to lead Tottenham to another poor point against Wolverhampton at the weekend, but surprisingly salvaged victory and three points with Palhinha-socring eight minutes before full-time. Big cheers, but ruined by Callum Wilson’s 2-1 goal for West Ham in injury time against Everton. With that, Tottenham are still on the wrong side of the relegation zone. However, they are working aggressively to position themselves in the transfer market this summer, where it will be rigged for further play in the Premier League – and establishment in the top half of the table.
The focus is therefore on Barcelona and Manchester. What has looked like a safe permanent transfer for Marcus Rashford to Barcelona is anything but certain. The La Liga club has an option to buy Rashford, but is clearly struggling to maneuver to a financial solution that allows a permanent transfer and a fixed Rashford salary item in the spending budget. Various English media claim that Rashford has not completely closed the door on a return to Old Trafford, but now there are reports of a surprising, third option – Tottenham.

According to the Mirror , Barcelona have now made an offer to United, but not what the Premier League club are after. Because according to the English newspaper, Barcelona have presented a new loan offer to United. In other words, no permanent transfer this summer, but a desire for Rashford to continue in the Barca shirt next season as well. Until now, the reports have been clear that United only want a permanent sale of Rashford.
So this is anything but settled. According to Spanish Sport , Tottenham have sent signals of great interest in signing Rashford. The Spanish newspaper claims that the London club will make a bid for the England international, if it clashes with Barcelona and Rashford is not keen on a return to Old Trafford.

There is, of course, a third if. The prerequisite is, of course, that Tottenham stay in the Premier League. Marcus Rashford will not return to the ball island for second division games.
