On the second of July, Vítor Pereira was officially done with Nottingham Forest. The Portuguese was brought in to ensure the traditional club’s Premier League survival, did so with conviction, but was still sent out of the club. Four days later, everyone understands why. Oliver Glasner is being applauded as the new Nottingham Forest manager.

Oliver Glasner left Crystal Palace this summer, with an FA Cup title, Community Shield and Conference League title. For the London club, a historic upturn under the Austrian coach. Now Glasner is brought back to the Premier League without a break.

“I am very pleased to be appointed head coach of Nottingham Forest. From my first conversations with the owner and the club’s management, it was clear to me that they have a clear vision for the club and full confidence in me and my coaching staff that together we can create a strong foundation for the long-term future. That trust and shared ambition – along with the great potential I see in the squad – was crucial to my decision, and I look forward to what we can achieve together,” Glasner told the club’s website.
