The price is not for a pint, but a pint and like many other things across the pond, the measurements are slightly different. A pint is just over half a pint. In the British system of measurement, one pint is equivalent to about 5.7 deciliters. If you use US measurements, a pint is about 4.7 deciliters. So there are two different pints. The British pint is used in the United Kingdom, while the American version is used in the United States.

That part of the world isn’t exactly known for its beer, and drinking cultures vary significantly between Europe and America. Still, many will only be happy that alcohol can be enjoyed this year – after the tournament in Qatar in 2022. SeatPick, has revealed the prices of each individual stadium. It is fair to say that they vary dramatically from arena to arena.
Cheapest beer prices during the 2026 World Cup
According to the study, the cheapest pint you can buy during the summer festivities will be found in the heat and humidity of the Estadio Akron in the remote town of Guadalajara, Mexico. The stadium, located about 20 miles off the Pacific coast in the state of Jalisco, has 49,850 seats. Here, the beer costs just £2.04 – a price reminiscent of British Wetherspoon pubs.
Estadio Azteca, known as one of the world’s noisiest stadiums, follows suit at the same low price. But there is a noticeable jump between these two Mexican venues and Monterrey’s Estadio BBVA, where the cheapest option rises to £4.35. It would still be seen as cheap in many southern cities in the UK – but there prices end up at the “non-London” level.
BC Place in Vancouver, Canada, charges £6.37 – the same as Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and just six pence less than Boston’s Gillette Stadium. BMO Field in Toronto, which hosts five group stage matches and one round of 16, as well as Arrowhead Stadium, which will host a quarter-final, are the last two stadiums where you can get a pint for under £7.

Most expensive beer prices
In Seattle and inside the air-conditioned comforts of Dallas, a pint costs £7.28. Lincoln Financial Field – in the heart of sports-mad Philadelphia, home to the Eagles, Phillies and Temple University – will take at least £8.43 out of your pocket. Hard Rock Stadium’s price of £8.99 is pittance compared to £9.59 in Houston, or £9.74 at MetLife Stadium, where the final will be played.
Still, none of these top the highest price. That title belongs to Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Both charge a staggering £10.49 per pint – “Californication” on the West Coast continues to demand visitors with ever deeper pockets.
The beer prices, combined with some supporters paying up to £30,000 for a single ticket to watch their nation compete in what is expected to be the most-watched sporting tournament ever, only shows how far the beautiful sport has moved away from its working-class roots.
As most people who have been to the United States know, beer there is more reminiscent of water than of beer.
