We have become accustomed to Sørloth being linked to one big club, after another in Europe. Not surprisingly, fully deserved – and really fun. For those who have followed the career of the former Rosenborg player, especially since the Premier League slump for Crystal Palace, know what a long road Sørloth has taken to get to the position he now finds himself in – as one of Europe’s most effective strikers.
Before the New Year, a bench-wearing Sørloth at Atletico Madrid was heavily linked with Newcastle, but the Premier League club ended up with Nick Woltemade, while Sørloth gained the necessary trust from the Atletico coach and emerged as the most in-form player at Atletico (and in La Liga) in the first part of the year. With a goal against Barcelona in the first CL quarter-final and “ensured” the sending off of the Barcelona player in the second leg, the 30-year-old was heavily involved in Atletico Madrid taking the step into Champions League heaven with a semi-final ticket.

For the past month, Sørloth has been linked with Barcelona, who got to experience the Norwegian up close, and with a Robert Lewandowski on a potential exit this summer at the end of his contract.
This week, Gazetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan also have Sørloth on their list of candidates. The Italian newspaper reports that Milan bosses have held talks with Lewandowski’s agent, but the Polish international’s wage demands are too high for the Rossoneri. The same goes for Juventus striker Vlahovic.
Even though AC Milan have to shell out up to 40 million euros including add-ons for Sørloth, a potential Sørloth signing offers “more for the money”.

“AC Milan must prioritize strengthening the team with a top striker next season. In the second half of this season, the attacking line has exposed a problem. It fails to score goals,” writes the Italian newspaper.
Alexander Sørloth can.
