At Manchester City, there have been two seasons without a title in the Premier League and Pep Guardiola has resigned. One of England’s really big talents still chooses not to leave Arsenal to join Manchester City.
He has been described as one of England’s biggest talents in his cohort, and there were rumours that he would interest a majority of clubs in the Premier League after Leicester City were relegated from the Championship to League One. For a long time, it looked like Jeremy Monga would end up at Arsenal, but then the transfer saga took a turn in Manchester City’s favour. City offered a higher transfer fee and have now secured the signing of the newly arrived 17-year-old.

The teenager has chosen City, where he will be presented as a new Manchester City player on Saturday. According to the BBC , the talent has signed a five-year contract with the PL giant.
“When I became aware that Manchester City were interested, I knew immediately that this was an obvious choice for me. For all young footballers, it is a dream come true to be part of this amazing club,” Monga begins to the club’s website.
“This has been the best club in England for the last 10 years. And it has also provided opportunities for players from the academy such as Phil Foden and Nico O’Reilly, which shows that there is a way. It’s a privilege to be here, and I’m happy to have joined,” the player concludes.

Manchester City’s sporting director Hugo Viana is delighted to have secured the signing for around £10 million.
“Jeremy is an exciting player who has already made great strides in his young career. We were already very aware of him from before, and we have seen his abilities during his time at Leicester. At the age of 17, we feel that he will only continue to improve, and that this is the next step in his career, says the sporting director to the club’s website.

Monga grew up in Leicester and scored one goal and two assists in 37 games with the club since his debut in 2025.
